This machine was purchased near Houston, TX by my brother from a Craigslist ad. He stored it for 3 years before bringing it up to Arkansas. We probably over paid for it ($1,200) but it was our first piece of old machinery. As far as we can tell it is a Sidney Famous 12" long bed jointer. I completely disassembled it and had the casting sandblasted, primed and painted it. I have not tuned up perfectly yet but it is running. I had to find a new motor and starter. I will replace the original ball bearing and have the blades sharpened soon. I am assuming that the serial number 2088. It was the only number that I could find on the machine. It was located on the top of the fence.
