When I first started woodworking, about 1980, I bought this jointer, put a new cutter head, motor pulley, and fence handle on it to get it up and running. This was my jointer for probably 6-7 years. I finally upgraded to a 6 inch AMT and sent the little 4 inch on its way to a buddy’s wood shop.
20 years later, three 6-inch jointers, one-12 inch jointer, 3 shops, it has returned home. I know he used it but he ever changed anything on it. It is exactly as I gave it to him, the fence is, and from the grime I found under it, seems to be in exact place I left it so long ago.
So now it will be my edging jointer for those smaller jobs, saving the blades on the larger one (seen in the background in some of the pictures) when its size isn’t needed.
All I did to it was dust it off.
