After two years sitting on a mobile base and being pushed around to stay out of the way, I've finally got 'round to restoring this. I've put a single phase GE motor turning at 1725RPM in it and the machine runs smooth and quiet. The knob on the porkchop was an idea put forward by Mr. Vaughn so that one can swing the guard to a dsired position from the top keeping the operator's hand away from the cutterhead.
