Owner's notes: I bought this lathe In May 2024, it was rough shape it would not cut smooth, installed dial indicator in saddle had 5000th slop and 3000th up and down and side to side on the chuck, decided it had to be fixed before using it, tour it down removed all parts 100%, cleaned everything stripped all paint inside and out down to bare metal, replaced all bushings and bearings including new head bearings, shot everything in etch primer then painted using Dupont machine gray shot with automotive paint gun, started assembly and made new shims to tighten everything up, restoration complete 6/17/2024 cuts and looks fantastic glade I spent the time and effort to restore it.
