Source=Owner's submission. Owner's notes: I found this machine on Letgo. It belonged to the Seller's Great Grandfather. His mother loaned it to his nephew and this is the way it came back. It has been through hell and I have a lot of work to do. I knew the head casting was broken and I found another casting with the same badge. When I got it home and started disassembling it, I found that the quill was bent. I will attempt to straighten it. If I can't get it straight enough, I will replace the quill also. The motor is an old Westinghouse. I do not have any idea if the motor is original. It is rough also. but it runs quietly. I have to find a quill cover with the oil cap for it. I bought the last one I saw on eBay a while back. I also will try to find the original type on/off switch for the left side of the head casting.
It has a 31" column, a Slow Speed Pulley Attachment and an old Work Hold-Down Device. I do not think the hold-down device is original to this machine. |
