Source=Owner's submission. Purchased off Craigslist in April 2015. The lathe started life in a high school, was purchased at auction in the late 1990s then, used briefly, sat neglected for another 10 years in an unheated wood shop. It was very dirty, poorly maintained, but was under power. The lathe and under-drive underwent a total restoration replacing all bearings, damaged parts and belts plus a total strip, prime and repaint. After 120 hours of work plus making and replacing some parts the lathe is now in good condition, runs and cuts nicely. |
