Photo #10—Plaque/historical marker (on boulder) at site of the West Side Iron Works/original Monarch Road Machinery Company in Grand Rapids, Michigan. The featured schoolhouse was actually built in 1866 and actually stood for 116 years. Visiting the grounds of the Gerald R. Ford Museum, one will find President Ford's grave site inside a large, rectangular fence. Outside of the fence, walking to its northwest corner, one will find the West Side Iron Works/Monarch boulder with historical marker. |
