This is a print of the original negative in the collection of Jacob Yarborough, a great, great nephew of Elmer Harrold. The photos was taken by Crescent founder Elmer Harrold and shows the construction of the new Crescent factory in 1906.
The Aug. 4 photo had the following note on the original negative: "Bird's-eye of Crescent Factory from Hill. Taken Aug. 4th, 1906. Roof on office was finished today. Foundry ready for erection and Main Factory foundation, all concreted and about half of the granulated cinder put in for under the floor. Ditch nearly all dug for water mains." |
