J. SAJAR & CO.’S SINGLE SPINDLE ROLLER-FEED MOULDING MACHINE
This machine which has been brought out by J. Sagar & Co., Ltd., Canal Works, Halifax, is for sticking straight mouldings, beads, laths, etc., which require to be worked on one side only. The body of the machine is a strong cored casting to which the table and various working parts are attached. The spindle is made of best machinery steel and runs in long phosphor bronze bearings.
The roller-feed motion is driven by spur wheel gearing having machine cut teeth and the table is arranged to rise and fall in planed slides by hand wheel and screw. Suitable pressure apparatus is provided for holding the stuff dead on the table whilst under the action of cutters.
The machine will take timber up to 4 in. wide, and there are two variations in rates of feed. The space required is about 3 ft. long by 2 ft. 6 in.. wide, and about 2 b.h.p. is necessary to work it.
Full particulars can be obtained from the makers at Halifax or at their London address, 60, Walling St., E.C. |
