TWENTY ONE INCH DRILL
This is one of the latest productions of Mr. J. E. Snyder, Worcester, Mass., whose drill presses are to be found in all parts of the country. It is quite a heavy machine, has back gears, power feed, quick return and automatic stop, and has a combined wheel and lever feed. Table adjusts with crank shown, in connection with worm and worm gear, and can be swung clear around the column. Wheel feed is by worm gearing and steel rack and pinion. Back gearing is controlled by lever and very readily operated. The spindle is 1½ inches diameter and has a movement of 10 inches, and is 10 5/8j inches from post Table is 18 ½ inches in diameter and has a vertical movement of 15 ½ inches. Greatest distance from spindle to base is 43 ½ inches, and from spindle to table 25 inches. Hole is No. 3 Morse taper. It requires a floor space of 22x52 inches, and is 98 inches in height and
weighs 800 pounds. |
