Wm. Powell & Co's extensive Brass Foundry Works and offices are situated at Nos. 245, 247, and 249 West Fifth Street. The 'establishment was founded in the year 1846.
The Company manufacture every description of Engine Builders, Steam Fitters and Plumbers Brass Work; and make as specialties the celebrated "Star" Regrinding Globe Valves, of which over 100,000 are now in use in all parts of the country; also the "Star" Tallow Lubricator for locomotive and stationary engines. The Company also keep on hand a large stock of Plumbers' Materials, such as Drainpipe, Water-closet Fittings, Bath-tubs, and Wash-basins, plain and fancy. Their "Eagle" brand of Babbitt Metal is unequaled, and shipped to all parts of the country. The members of the firm are James Powell and Henry Powell. |
