Our readers will no doubt notice an advertisement in this issue setting forth the merits of the Gardner Specials, consisting of the well-known Gardner Governor and the Gardner Duplex Thresher Pump. This concern needs no introduction to the threshermen. They have been making steam engine governors of the highest quality for over half a century and it has always been their policy to make only quality goods and this has resulted in building a reputation for them which is recognized the world over.
They make several different types of governors especially adapted for thresher work. The one shown in the illustration in the Wide Range Governor designed for modern services required of thresher engines. the speed of the engine being varied 100%, if necessary, without affecting the regulation in the least. At a small additional expense, an attachment is made to the governor whereby the speed of the engine can be changed without the engineer leaving the cab of the engine. This is accomplished in a very simple manner without the change of pulleys or shifting of belt.
The Gardner Duplex Thresher Pump is entirely reliable and dependable and is made along the same careful and conservative lines as the Gardner Governor.
