DOMAIN MARINE MOTORS
The H. C. Doman Co., of Oshkosh, Wis., U. S. A., has been building motors and engines for the past fourteen years. During that time, the Doman motors and engines have gained a reputation for being high-grade in every particular. They are of the standard four-cycle type, with jump-spark ignition.
Doman motors and engines are recognized among the leading marine engines in the country, and are noted for their high-grade character in design, construction and material. They possess these factors: reliability, durability, efficiency, simplicity, economy and power.
They are built in a thoroughly equipped factory, devoted exclusively to the manufacture of marine motors and engines, which is equipped with the latest and most approved machinery.
All parts are made after jigs and templets, and the company can therefore assure absolute interchangeability, and a satisfactory motor in every detail. All motors are perfectly balanced, thus eliminating all vibration. They are accessible, every part being easily reached. They develop the rated power at normal speed, and have extra long bearing surfaces, insuring long life.
Every motor is given a day's test and the performance is carefully observed and checked. After they have passed the test room, they are taken to the enameling room. After being enameled, they are placed on the tester again. This final test is for the purpose of making sure that all parts are properly re-assembled after being enameled.
Ever" engine is equipped with the latest features, such as mechanically operated inlet valves, mechanical force-feed lubrication, perfect oil circulation in the base, water-cooled exhaust piping, etc. Cylinders can be removed without disturbing the crank shaft, timer, pump, or base. The design is symmetrical and compact.
Doman motors are guaranteed for one year against imperfections in workmanship and material, and any defective part will be replaced if returned to the company, providing the damage did not occur through improper use or neglect.
In every part of the world, where Doman motors and engines have been used, they arc recognized as a splendid example of marine internal combustion engines. The Doman motors are in operation in all parts of the country, and are giving complete satisfaction.
Doman motors are built in the following sizes: 5-hp., two-cylinder; 8-hp., three-cylinder; 10-hp., two-cylinder; 15-hp., three-cylinder; 20-hp., four-cylinder; 30-hp. four-cylinder; 30-hp., six-cylinder; 45-hp., six-cylinder; 55-hp., four-cylinder; 200-hp., eight-cylinder. The heavy-duty engines are at present built in the following sizes: 20-hp., two-cylinder; 30-hp., three-cylinder; 40-hp., four-cylinder. |
