We present in this issue illustration of the Benicia Agricultural Works, the largest institution of its kind in the West, and one of the largest in the United States.
This factory is located at Benicia, Cal., only a few hours distant from San Francisco, and is particularly fortunate in having excellent railway and water shipping facilities. Not only do these works turn out plows, vehicles and other agricultural implements, but in addition cater to a large line of jobbing customers for work in wood and metal lines. The plant, as shown in the illustration, has a diversified equipment, including, in addition to the building shown in the illustration, a large size bolt making plant, which is a late addition to their former equipment. |
