Power-hammer
|
Jared B. McLane |
North Reading, MA |
An example of this power hammer has been seen, with the Champion Blower & Forge name cast into it, plus the patent date and model number 1. The January 1915 Automobile Trade Directory lists J. B. McLane of North Reading, Mass., as a maker of power hammers (Champion is also listed). Our best guess at this point is that McLane licensed his design to Champion to serve the larger USA market while he focused on his local market. |
