Sometime prior to 1975, Cleereman's assets were sold to Kearney & Trecker Co. In December of 1975, Kearney & Trecker Co. sold Cleereman's assets to the Appleton Machine Co. In 1983 Appleton Machine Co. was sold to O.Y. Wartsila, AB which went through various corporate mergers and name changes including Wartsila-Appleton, which, in 1986, sold the Cleereman assets to H.W. Ward, Inc. Ward changed its name to Cleereman Machine Tools, Inc. Finally in 1990, the Cleereman assets were again sold to Chicago Curdworth Service Co., Inc.
