1873 catalog of 12 pages, entitled, "New York State Agricultural Works, (Established 1830.) Wheelers and Melick Co., proprietors and manufacturers of railway and lever horse powers, threshers and cleaners, threshers and shakers, horse hay forks, saw mills, &c. &c." An 1886 letterhead says, "Wheeler & Melick Co. / Makers of Farm Machinery." It also says "Founded 1830", and shows an image of a gold medal awarded at the 1884 Amsterdam World's Fair.
