Emmor W. Silver |
Salem, OH |
Of interest because the assignee and manufacturer were both woodworking machinery makers. Silver & Deming split in 1890, and Silver Mfg. Co. was one of the resulting companies. One machine reported was labeled as the "Ohio Standard Improved 1898 No. 11 Feed cutter, Silver Mfg. Co., Salem, Ohio". Another example is labeled "The Silver Mfg Co. pat'd March 25 1890" and "Ohio Improved 1890 no. 10 1/2". |

Combined Wheel Wrench and Bolt Clipper
|
Marshall Martin |
Walla Walla, WA |
The interchangeable "cog die" wrench socket is driven through a set of gears by a hand crank -- the wrench portion is substantially the same as Martin's July 28, 1891 patent (no. 456,830); the bolt clipper is operated by one of the foot levers. The other foot lever operates a chain that pulls the wheel firmly against the wrench socket.
