F. & J. BUTTERFIELD & Co. (limited).—This is the conversion to a company of the business of machine tool makers and engineers, carried on by the firm of
F. & J. Butterfield & Co., at the Midland Works and the Eagle Works, Keighley, Yorks. It was registered on the 13th ult., with a capital of ,£80,000 in ,£10 shares, with the following as first subscribers, all of Keighley, and each of whom has taken one share :—Francis Butterfield, tool maker, 37, Chapel-lanc; *Henry Packett, cashier, 51, ClifTe-street; *N. Stell, 93, Devonshirestreet; J. H. Gill, foreman, Highfteld-street; *G. W. Carter, veterinary surgeon, 42, Chapel-lane; Pickles Greenwood, foreman, Spring Bank; S. Lund, foreman, 41, Bradford-street. The subscribers denoted by an asterisk, and Mr. John Mitchell, are the first directors; qualification, shares, or stock of the nominal value of ,£250. Mr. F. J. Butterfield is appointed manager for five years (provided he continues during that period to hold ,£5,000 of the company's capital), at a salary of ,£350 per annum.
