In 1903, with Landis Tool Co. working at full capacity, company co-founder and machine designer Abraham Landis had invented a bolt threading machine. A new company, Landis Machine Co., was established to focus on bolt threaders and nut tapping machinery. Over the ensuing decades Landis received a series of patents for improvements in bolt threading. As of 2019, the company is named Landis Solutions, LLC.
