Founded in 1832 by Walden Eddy as a foundry. The firm lasted until 1952.

The Eddy line of plows, manufactured by the W. Eddy Plow Co., of Greenwich, N. Y, has been on the market since 1832, when Walden Eddy began the manufacture of this line, and has grown in completeness and popularity steadily since that time. As the line became better known and the demand grew greater, additions were made to it and many experiments were made in order to determine just how the various plows might be improved and what changes were necessary in order to get the best results under varying conditions. In the construction of this line only the best materials have been used and competent and skilled workmen have been employed. The designs are the result of much study and many experiments and tests, and the general satisfaction which these plows have given is largely due, it is claimed, to the care taken in their construction.
