Formed in 1910 as a reorganization of the National Machine & Tool Works operated by Oscar J. Sundstrand and his brother-in-law, Edwin Cedarleaf and in 1912 joined by Gustaf D. Sundstrand. In 1926 the firm merged with Rockford Tool Co. to form the Sundstrand Machine Tool Co.
