  • The 1900-05-11 issue of The Railway Age has the following news item.
    The Taughannock Emery Wheel Company have been organized at Cortland, N. Y., with $30,000 capital, the directors being W. G. Farrington and G. H. Fowler.
  • The 1900-12-02 issue of The Iron Trade Review has the following item.
    The Taughannock Emery Wheel Co.. of Cortland. N. Y., has rented a portion of the Keator-Wells foundry at Cortland. and has already removed its plant to the larger quarters.
  • The 1904-03-17 issue of American Machinist has this tidbit:
    An unspecified emery wheel company at Cortland, N. Y., is thinking of moving to some other place, and Lestershire Is trying to secure It. It Is expected that 150 to 200 hands would be employed at the new plant. The Taughannock Emery Wheel Company Is located at Cortland.
