The earliest mention of this firm we have found is from 1907, when the Bawden Machine & Tool Co., Ltd. was registered. In 1912 the name Bawden Machine Co., Ltd. was registered. The company remained in business until at least the mid-1950s. Among their products they made a drill press, which is believed to have been made in their earlier years.

- 1917—A 1917 edition of Iron Age has the following brief item:
The Bawden Machine Co., 163 Sterling Road, Toronto, has commenced work on the erection of an addition to cost $5,000.
- 1921—EMF Electrical Year Book for 1921 lists "Hindley" as "Trade name for steam engines manufactured by the Bawden Machine Co., Ltd., 163-75 Sterling Road, Toronto, Ont., Can."
- 1921-1924—In 1921 and 1924 editions of The Canadian Patent Office Record and Register of Copyrights and Trade Marks there are several registrations listed from this firm for tire tread designs.
- 1925-1927—Between 1925 and '27, Bawden Machine Co., Ltd., of Toronto was assigned several patents related to machinery for manufacturing pneumatic tires.
- 1920s-1940s—Manufactured fire hydrants from the 1920s to the 1940s.
