Between at least 1891 and 1893, the Art Embossing Machine Co. manufactured machinery for embossing designs into wood. The company seems to have disappeared. Then, in 1901 a similarly named company, Embossing, Art, Die & Machine Co., appeared, also located in Indianapolis, and also making machinery for embossing periodically repeating designs into wood. We assume there is some sort of connection between these two firms but that is as yet unconfirmed.
