Fairchild Industries was a subsidiary of the Fairchild Camera & Instrument Corporation. A plant in Burlington VT was established sometime in the mid-to-late 1940s to manufacture electrical consumer products. In about 1949 they began manufacturing a small bench grinder, handheld electric drills, and a handheld sander. The company was originally listed here because of the bench grinder. We have seen an eBay listing for an electric drill labeled Drill Major, All Timer Products, Chicago, IL, which matches a Fairchild drill.
