As their name implies, this firm primarily made grinding wheels. They are listed here because they also manufactured grinder arbors plus saw filers and gummers.
From October 1887 Canada Lumberman
Gilbert Hart established Detroit Emery Wheel Co., which was originally known as Hart Emery Wheel Co. When he opened a Canadian subsidiary, he re-used the original company name. In late 1905 the Hart Emery Wheel Co. merged with competitor Canadian Corundum Wheel Co. to form the Canadian Hart Corundum Wheel Co. By 1908 this name had changed to Canadian Hart Wheels, Ltd., and by 1921 to Canadian Hart Products, Ltd.
