Information Sources

  • Advertisement in the 1866 Mitchell & Co.'s Toronto Directory.
  • Advertisement in the 1871 Lovell's Canada Directory. The identical ad appeared in that year's Lovell's Newfoundland Directory.
  • Advertisement in an undated Guide Book of the city of Toronto. This ad is very similar to the ad in the 1871 Lovell's directory so it is likely within a year or so of 1871.
