Formed by the merger of the Brown Gas Engine Co. of Columbus, OH and the Cochran Co. of Lorain, OH about 1902, this company only lasted until about 1909 after being bought in receivership in 1908 by the Johnson Co. which was the foundry that made the castings for them.
