This boring-machine maker was founded by Moses L. Andrew by 1894 and survived until at least 1920. Their specialty was multi-spindle boring machines, and they made both metal-drilling and wood-drilling versions.

  • An 1870 patent for a planer was issued to one Moses L. Andrew of Cincinnati, likely the same man as in this company name. He also received a 1909 patent for a multiple-spindle boring machine.
  • Article in 1894 issue of Manufacturer & Builder.
  • The 1909-02-11 issue of Iron Trade Review had this item:
    Bids are being received for the new plant to be built by the M. L. Andrew Co., Colerain and Alabama aveunes, Cincinnati, manufacturing special machinery. The principal building will be 40 x 160 feet, two stories, brick construction. Adjoining it will be a boiler house 21 x 28 feet, one story.
    The April 29 issue reported that construction was deferred until the fall.
