If you have information to add to this entry, please contact the Site Historian.

This firm, which is still in business, supplies kits for industrial arts classes, including, formerly, kits for making power hacksaws. The kits included the raw castings, which the student was responsible for machining. The castings do not bear any identifying marks and usually the resulting machines can only be identified as IASCO kits by comparing the finished product to old catalog pictures.

Note that this website's focus is on woodworking and metalworking machinery plus engines and motors. Please do not upload pictures of IASCO's other products.

Information Sources

  • We were reminded of this maker by an owwm.org forum discussion about an unlabelled power hacksaw.
  • A look through their current catalog (which was No. 57 at the time of writing) reveals a product lineup that includes projects related to electronics, various kinds of molding, and balsa wood construction. No power hacksaws or other machinist products are included.
