Starting in about 1909, this firm manufactured a "duplex independent end buffing lathe", which had buffing or grinding wheels in what appeared to be a standard belt-driven bench grinder configuration, but with independent clutches for each wheel.

The company namesake was Alfred B. Nutting. It is possible that Harvey R. Nutting—perhaps Alfred's brother—was also a partner.
