In the late 1940s this small business—operated from the house of its owner, William G. Hodges—made a 14" bandsaw. A surviving example is similar to the Delta/Rockwell bandsaw but the wheel covers are in the form of a one-piece aluminum casting.

    Did a little digging on this company. Owner was one William G. Hodges and the address in the 1947 Vancouver directory is 1006 East 24th. Looks like the shop was in his house, at least then. The house at that address now goes back before WWII. Will have to check the later directories in the library some time. There were lots of foundries in Vancouver in the 40s to 60s so he could have had the castings done anywhere.
