Improvement in machine-drills
|
Nelson P. Eddy |
Fall River, MA |
The patent covers a simple mechanism that allows the table to be rotated from horizontal to vertical or any angle in between. The co-assignees, William M. Hawes and inventor Nelson P. Eddy, were partners in the machine-tool manufacturing firm of Wm. P. Hawes & Co., and we presume that they manufactured this invention (they definitely made drill presses). The 1870-02-26 Scientific American had an article on the Assonet Machine Co.'s improved version of this patent drill press. |
