A. K. A. O. E. Merill
Founded in 1860 by Orson E. Merrill as a machine shop. In 1873, he partnered with George Houston, a leading authority on water wheels and hydraulics, to form the Merrill and Houston Iron Works. The business was sold at auction to it's creditors on 07 Jan 1885.
