  • The 1903 Sessional Papers of the Parliament of the Dominion of Canada lists McKeough & Trotter as the recipient of $20.95 for "smithwork".
  • The Labour Gazette for May 1905 has the following writeup
    The firm of McKeough & Trotter is atending its business. A company to be known as the McKeough & Trotter Company, Limited, has been incorporated, capitalized at $100,000, and has secured large premises. It is agent for the Ford, Wayne and Reliance automobiles, and will assemble and put machines together here and do all repair work, as well as handling auto supplies. Gasoline engines, brass fittings, &c, also will be manufactured. Another very important department of the business is that of building gasoline launches of 14 feet and upwards. The firm has orders on hand already for boats which will keep it busy for several months.
  • Canadian Industry, Commerce and Finance, by James John Harpell, 1915, lists this firm as a maker of portable sawmills.
  • The 1919 Sessional Papers of the Province of Ontario Legislature lists McKeough & Trotter as the recipient of $3.84 for "repairs".
  • The 1932 Canadian Mining, Iron and Steel Manual lists this firm.
  • The 1942 Heaton's Commercial Handbook of Canada lists this firm.
  • The 1944 Agricultural and Industrial Progress in Canada lists this firm as a maker or supplier of "Engineers' and machinists' wholesale hardware".
