“The Marion Machine & Tool Co. has been incorporated in Indiana. with a capital of $25,000, by L. C. Cole, Robert 1. Main and John M. Main.” (Quote from 1900.)

      “The Marion Machine & Tool Company, Marlon, Ind., has moved its works to Upper Sandusky, O. The board of trade of the latter named place having given the company a bonus of $20,000 and a site of five acres of land. The company, on their part, agreed to use the bonus furnished them in the construction of buildings and no part of the bonus was to be used in furnishing the buildings. which were to be completed by the first of November 1902. The buildings were to be of brick, heated by steam and will be illuminated by electric lights. Twenty-five men are to be employed the first year, and 100 after the first year; 25 of that number are to be expert mechanics. Twenty-five different styles of pumps will be manufactured by this company and they will also manufacture the Reynold's Tire Bolting machine, a combination bolt clipper, bolt wrench and tire bolt holder. The bolting machine is the only one of its kind on the market and the Marlon Tool Company are the sole owners and manufacturers and have over 5,000 in use, it is claimed.” (Quote from 1902.)

      By 1903, this firm became the National Steam Pump Co. in Upper Sandusky, OH. This firm continued to make the Reynolds Tire Bolter until 1921 when the line was sold to the House Cold Tire Setter Co. of St. Louis, MO.
