Founded in 1854 by Alfred Dodman, AKA Highgate Works. In 1897 the firm became a limited company. The firm began building Steam Traction Engines in 1872. The company bought E. S. Hindley & Sons in 1929 and lasted until about 1975.
Manufactured combined vertical steam engines and boilers.
