Claiming to have been in business since 1885, the Ty-Sa-Man Machine Co. made a horizontal panel saw in the 1950s. In the early 1960s the assets of the business were acquired by Carborundum Co. and operated as the Tysaman Company Division of Carborundum Co.

The founders of this firm were Joel Tyler, Arthur Savage, and Edward Tiers Manning.
