Batavia Steam Engine Co., successors to the Phelps Steam Engine Co., of Phelps ,N.Y.
Owing to the large demand for the Monitor Agricultural Engines, it has become neccessary to enlarge and extend our business and to establish ourselves where railroad facilities were more accessible for shipment to all parts of US and Canada, hence the removal from Phelps, N.Y. to Batavia, N. Y.
The Monitor steam engine won First Premium and a Bronze Medal at the 1874 & 1875 New York State Fairs.
