Between at least 1901 and 1918, the Jantz & Leist Electric Co. of Cincinnati was manufacturing electric motors.

Feinmann v. Holsam Co., Inc., Plaintiff's Exhibit 24, is a 1918 agreement between Jantz & Leist Electric Co. and Holsam Co., Inc., for Holsam to provide distribution of Jantz & Leist electric motors in France.
