Information Sources
- From an article and ad in a 1909 issue of American Carpenter and Builder, General Manufacturing Co. of Milwaukee made the "Little Shaver" saw—a gasoline-engined wood framed portable tablesaw. It weighed only 615 pounds.
- Do not confuse this General Manufacturing Company with the far more prominent one from Quebec or with General Hardware Co. of Milwaukee, which made grinders and grinder arbors.
