Founded in 1894 as a reorganization of the Pioneer Iron Works of Brooklyn, NY. Pioneer, maufacturers of Lindelof Steam Rollers, had been bought by the "Asphalt King of America", Amzi Lorenzo Barber and he moved the firm to Buffalo where it was renamed Iroquois Iron Works. The firm incorporated in 1898 and lasted until the 1920's.
