226,836 Apr. 27, 1880 Bolt-Holder Alva M. Colt Batavia, NY The frame clamps to a wagon or buggy wheel. These narrow wooden wheels had bolts to hold the iron tires on to the wheel fellies. The bolt heads were flat on the outside, flush with the wheel surface. The lever-cam pushes down on the plunger to hold a bolt-head so the nut could be tightened or loosened.
