Founded in 1879 as a partnership between William Rhys Jenkins, Jr. and J. H. Lingle when they bought one-half interest in Todd & Duncan. The firm became W. P. Ducan & Co. and they manufactured Stationary Steam Engines, Turbine Water Wheels, Ore Washing & Mining Machinery and Square Stroke Power Hammers. When W. P. Duncan retired in 1888, the firm chaned its name to Jenkins & Lingle. The Power Hammer manufacturing ended in about 1907.
