Founded in 1871 as the Central Iron Works in Shamburg, PA., by John L. Seyfang, the company moved to Titusville in 1875 and became a partnership between David Bovaird & John L. Seyfang In 1879 they moved once again to Bradford, PA. In 1891 the company became the Bovaird & Seyfang Mfg. Co. and in 1895, David Boviard formed Bovaird & Co. as a separate entity. This firm is still in business today and is located in Tulsa, OK.
