Called both Craft Art Tools Corp. and Craftart Tools Corp., in the 1950s this firm sold a line of small machines. We have only seen a couple of such machines—a 12" bandsaw and a small shaper—and both of those machines were actually made by Henry Power Tools Ltd. of Canada.

Information Sources

  • We learned of "Craft Art" version of this maker from a discussion in an OWWM forum on a small shaper.
  • Seen on eBay: 12" aluminum bandsaw with 12" square steel table. 45 pounds, dimensions 16x8x33. The vendor provided us the name on the saw: "Craftart Tools Corp., Cleveland, Ohio".
  • From 1957 Hardware Age, this firm is listed as makers of jointers, planers, and shapers.
