We have three separate reports of Nall brand 12-inch radial arm saws. These were apparently made by the Equipment Engineering Co., Division of the Nall Corp. It appears that the company was short-lived and the saws are exceedingly uncommon.
Information Sources
- Member Mike Levine pointed us to an eBay auction for a tablesaw that had a Nall radial arm saw shown in one of the pictures.
- From a mid-1948 issue of Wood Working Digest comes this snippet:
NALL RADIAL ARM SAW. Equipment Engineering Co., Division of the Nall Corp., St. Charles, Ill., has recently introduced a radial arm saw, ... Every vital working part of the Nall is dust sealed for longer life and easier operation. Additional information may be obtained by writing Dept. WD. of the above-mentioned company.
- A web search turned up exactly one Nall saw for sale, at a used machinery dealer. "Nall 12-inch Radial Arm Saw by Marathon Machine Co., 2HP, 230/60/1, 1 inch dia., arbor, 15 inch Crosscut cap., 36 X 21 Table, Floor Stand, SN: NW21018". We could not turn up any trace of Marathon Machine Co.
- A search of owwm.org turned up just one mention of Nall: "It has a 12 inch blade, and a 2hp Louis Allis motor."
