Edward Carter |
Troy, NY |
Of interest because Edward Carter of Troy, NY, won a bronze medal for a boring machine at the 1873 Exhibition of the New York Agricultural Society. We have seen an auction listing for "Wood laundry wringer marked "Edward Carter Troy NY-Pat'd Sept. 1869". Carter was also a maker of wooden hand planes; the EAIA "Directory of American Toolmakers" lists him as active from 1854 to 1897. |
