"New and improved construction of distributing valves and mechanisms." An 1889 catalog from Goldie & McCulloch features the "Wheelock Automatic Cut-Off Engine" and they claim to "have built more Wheelock Engines than the combined output of all Brown and Corliss Engine builders in the Dominion." The catalog also gives a long list of Canadian users of the Wheelock engine, and notes that they had sold more than 260 such engines. |
